We will be holding our second online workshop on 14th September, where you will be able to learn about space bathymetry, watch a demonstration of the portal and integration into common GIS software. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions as we go.
As well as the free bathymetry data for the four trial areas, we have just released the first tiles of our Off-The-Shelf bathymetry data ready for ordering.
Optical satellite derived bathymetry data is available for numerous coastal and shallow water locations around the globe including parts of Australia, Indonesia, Cyprus, the Persian Gulf, Madagascar, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Comoros, and the Spratly Islands.
Crowd-sourced bathymetry data is available for some areas around the eastern and western seaboard of the United States of America, the Pacific coast of Central America, northern European waters, Greece, the Red Sea, New Zealand, Tasmania, and various other places.
Use the Order page to choose your area of interest and find out if we have coverage for your area. If we have data coverage for the area, you can request a copy and we'll send pricing information. Alternatively, you can also request a quote for the area you are interested in.
The BASE Platform team had a busy project meeting from 8 - 10 February, including a review by the EU and also an online webinar about the project to 106 registered viewers. The slides and video of the webinar are available online.
BASE Platform partners met in Delft to assess the progress to date. First versions of the bathymetry data from each of the trial areas was demonstrated along with an early prototype version of the BASE Platform portal.
